Zahir is a globally recognized executive and board advisor with more than 20 years of experience leading high-growth organizations through transformation, innovation and inclusive leadership. He brings deep operational expertise across technology, finance and customer-driven growth, with leadership experience spanning North America, Asia, Africa, and South America.
Prior to RealPage, Zahir served as CEO of Wave Financial Inc., a subsidiary of H&R Block and a leading money management platform for small businesses, where he led the company towards profitable growth and expanded the platform’s capabilities. Prior to that, he helped scale Afterpay in North America and held senior global leadership roles at Mastercard. Zahir’s leadership also includes building M-Paisa Afghanistan, where he scaled operations while driving financial inclusion and empowering local leadership, including the appointment of an Afghan female CEO as his successor.
Zahir serves as a board advisor to several global fintech companies and is a trusted executive and thought leader in the fintech and payments sector. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) from the University of Ottawa and has completed executive programs at Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
