Enrollment Growth Falls to a Four-Year Low

Between 2000 and 2017, enrollment growth for the Axio175 universities has averaged 1.6%, or 339 students. In 2017, however, enrollment for this set of universities experienced a lower growth rate of 0.7%, which translates to 254 students. Boosting growth in the past year were large universities with enrollment of more than 30,000 students. Enrollment at those universities grew 1.5%, on average, in 2017. Smaller schools averaged growth rates below the national average.
