RealPage Makes History, Celebrating Largest Giving Campaign

|

During this unprecedented year, RealPage stepped up to “Fill the Need” around the world, launching its first-ever virtual giving campaign to raise money for those with food and housing insecurities, the elderly/seniors, and education/students. During RealPage’s annual Month of Impact campaign, employees’ outpouring of generosity made this RealPage’s most extensive giving campaign in its history.

RealPage set out to raise $750,000 during the month-long giving campaign and employees donated $922,670, exceeding the company’s giving goal by 23 percent. The company generously matched an additional $300,000, bringing the combined donated total to $1,222,670, exceeding RealPage’s giving goal by 63 percent, and benefitting 420 501(c)(3) nonprofit charities globally. Nearly 38 percent of all donations supported charities focused on food or housing insecurities and education.

Company-wide, RealPage organized 30 impact events, both distanced and virtual. For example, employee resource groups held food and clothing drives, while teammates in Colombia collected school supplies and teammates in the Philippines hosted virtual concerts and comedy events to raise money for the cause. Virtual volunteer opportunities included assisting the American Red Cross and the VNA Meals on Wheels programs, sending cards of encouragement to seniors during quarantine, and creating digital stories for sharing with underprivileged children. Collectively, RealPage employees served 1,117 volunteer hours during the campaign.

The international giving focus for 2020 was the United Way of Hyderabad and their school transformation program. RealPage India has worked to revitalize one school and is preparing to assist and transform two more in 2021.

Sandeep Sharma, SVP and Country Manager of RealPage India, reflects on the vital work the company has been doing with the United Way of Hyderabad India to transform schools.

“It’s been a phenomenal journey,” said Sharma. “We are thankful to our RealPage family for making this [school transformation] happen, impacting more than 600 kids so far.

Our work in Hyderabad India continues as “we look forward to next year, where we’ll take this journey to more schools,” adds Sharma.

Giving back is a long-standing tradition at RealPage. Employees champion it through the RealPage Promise, the cornerstone on which the company was founded. Because of employees’ generosity, RealPage expanded its reach and impact, becoming an even broader force for the global good.

While addressing global teammates during a grand reveal event in December, RealPage CEO Steve Winn shared these remarks: “Thank you for selflessly giving back to our communities. As a company, we exist to support our shareholders, clients, teammates, and community. You clearly have poured out your generosity and your time during a period when no one would have expected to see numbers like this. I know that the recipients of this generosity extend around the globe and they are appreciative of what you have done during these times.”

RealPage and its employees’ collective acts of kindness —when the world needed it most—further solidifies RealPage’s steadfast commitment to making a significant impact in the communities where we live and work.
