Henry Pye and the former JPI Resident Solutions team join RealPage
(December 29, 2008)—RealPage, Inc., a leading provider of on-demand software and services to the multifamily industry, today announces that Henry Pye and his JPI Resident Solutions team of multifamily technology advisors will be joining RealPage, effective January 1, 2009. They will continue to provide expert resident services and technology consulting to multifamily owners, developers, managers, and builders under the newly created Resident Technology Solutions group within the Velocity division of RealPage.
Since 2000, Pye and his team have advised and managed resident services and technology for hundreds of communities across the United States, building a reputation as a value-focused owner/manager advocate, providing both superior technical advice and a true understanding of bottom line impact. As summed up by Jared Schenk of Schenk Realty Group, “The ever-increasing development of new resident services and technologies and the complexity of coordinating their relative financial, technical, legal, and operating aspects are a challenge for every owner, developer, and manager. Pye and his team excel at crafting long-term solutions for their clients that solve for these multi-faceted and dynamic issues.”
Pye’s team and its clients anticipate a smooth transition, as the move has the support of both companies behind it. “I believe that the transition of this function will provide Henry and his team a better platform to perform their services and will enable them to service RREEF, JPI, and other clients in a more effective manner,” stated Tom Bumpass, executive vice president of business administration for JPI.
“We’re pleased to have them on board,” stated Ashley Glover, president of Velocity. “With this move, Velocity and RealPage as a whole will gain value from the team’s knowledge base as they can help drive our product and service evolution, while their external advisory services will continue to be available to their existing clients, to JPI, and to an even broader pool of multifamily clients reachable through their new association with RealPage.”
Henry Pye, a recognized industry thought leader with both J.D. and M.B.A. degrees and extensive industry experience, will serve as vice president of Resident Technology Solutions. According to Pye, “Joining RealPage gives our team the advantage of its extensive resources and market-leading customer base and the freedom to support our existing clients with the impartial technology advice and project management tailored to the specific needs of each community.”
Other team members include Karla Martin, who will continue to negotiate and manage agreements and access documents for voice, video, data and other services based on her extensive experience in the cable and telecommunications industry, and Justin Foster, who will continue to coordinate structured cabling, access control, audio-video, and other resident services and technology.
Resident Technology Solutions services are available to all multifamily companies, regardless of size or choice of property management software. As part of RealPage, the group will continue to honor existing agreements and to support JPI and its management clients on a contract basis.
