Despite near-record demand in 2nd quarter 2017, U.S. apartment occupancy is still trending below the recent peak. Driving that trend has been normalizing occupancy rates in several major metros, according to a new report from Axiometrics, a RealPage company.
The report compares occupancy in several of the nation’s largest metros to recent peaks. Due to a variety of reasons, occupancy in most markets has fallen off recent peaks, while other markets could see occupancy peak this year.
