Presenting rent and utility charges on a single convergent resident bill along with collections made online or through the on-site staff is the secret to collecting full utility charge amounts on time.
This chart shows a 3–4% gain in collections of convergent billing over regular utility billing, which may be the result of:
- Residents perceiving utility charges as part of rent on a convergent bill,
- Unusual/ad hoc charges (such as small balances, late fees, and final account charges) being picked up on a convergent bill, and
- Leasing agents spending less time tracking down balances owed and collecting them.
Note: The percentages listed are averages based on client experiences. Actual collection rates may vary.
