RenterProtection is a low cost solution to supplement a traditional property liability policy through reimbursement of below-deductible claims. Kitchen fires, overflowing toilets, and smoke damage from a patio grill are all costly repairs, but these expenses typically fall below a liability policy deductible and are paid directly out of a community’s operating budget. That’s where RenterProtection comes in to cover the losses which arise from gaps in coverage.

After a $500 deductible, the program reimburses 100% of out-of-pocket expenses an owner pays related to claims that result because of resident-caused damage from water, fire, smoke, or explosion.

RenterProtection is particularly suited for communities with high resident turnover, like student, corporate, military housing and similar communities where enforcing renter’s insurance as a condition of residency may not be practical.

Customized to Meet Your Property Needs

Recognizing every community is different, with varying occupancy and risk mitigation needs, RenterProtection is designed as a completely customizable program. Owners can choose 100% coverage or opt for a schedule basis to protect only occupied units. Because the program is managed on a month- to- month basis, we have the flexibility to adjust coverage options so it works best for the needs of your community.

Available in 47 states*, the program offers owners supplemental insurance coverage in limits of $25,000, $50,000, or $100,000.

Additionally, owners can chose to add $5,000 of coverage to common area structures and/or provide a resident with $5,000 or $10,000 in personal property coverage with ProtectionPlus, an optional add-on of property contents coverage.
