Automated Military Assistance Company (MAC) Processing is a part of the RealPage military housing system. The MAC system is the prevailing platform used in privatized military family housing to transfer rent from the Defense Finance and Accounting System to private partners providing privatized housing on military installations.

The automation of payment and resident activities between the MAC platform and the OneSite military housing system provides privatized housing managers with a high degree of accuracy and security. With RealPage, clients get a “set-and-forget” capability in which monthly rent payments are automatically posted to resident records as soon as the data is made available in the MAC system. The system also generates and delivers the required resident updates (known as the MIMO file) back to MAC on a standard twice-monthly schedule. No human intervention is necessary in either operation, reducing the possibility of errors.

Maximum privacy of service members’ information through the automated processes ensures that personal data is never exposed at any point in the posting cycle—an additional benefit for the residents.
