Central Reporting Features
- A new technology platform. RealPage Central Reporting is a true web-native application with the same look, feel, and user login as other RealPage applications.
- Expanded product center support. Central Reporting will support all RealPage product centers.
- Roles and rights. Central Reporting shares the same powerful user management capability to define roles and rights within the system that our other product centers use. This allows users to be set up with a specific role (e.g., regional manager, owner, etc.). The role will define what views and reports the user is authorized to access. Rights define what properties the user is authorized to view. Changing the user management system to match our other product centers has enabled us to reduce the setup work for superusers.
- Snapshot periods. Central Reporting takes a snapshot of data for each site on a nightly basis. Central Reporting can also be set to take a snapshot when the date is advanced.
- Reporting for prior periods. Reprint many reports for previous periods with the additional product coverage you will receive with Central Reporting.
- Ease of use. RealPage Central Reporting has been designed so that all printed reports and views can be accessed from a single screen. Even report options have been simplified and in most cases only need the date or time period selected to run. Very little (if any) training is needed to use the basic reporting features of the system. This is especially valuable when reporting for multiple product centers (e.g., Leasing & Rents, Facilities, Purchasing, and Screening, to name a few).
- More powerful report writer. In addition to using RealPage Standard Reports, Central Reporting users now have even more flexibility to create their own reports.
- Simplified data grouping. Central Reporting provides an extremely flexible grouping capability. Property-level grouping options are available by category and sub-category. Unit-level grouping options are also available to permit users to group certain types of reports by unit designations.
- Grouping with Central Reporting is a snap! Simply choose from a list of potential grouping options to define the way you want your data grouped and how many levels of reporting detail you want presented on a report. The system takes care of the rest.
- Filtering with Central Reporting is easier than ever! Central Reporting also allows you the ability to filter properties you want included in a report based on multilevel filtering criteria.
- Input views. Central Reporting actually expands the number of input fields that can be accessed by the system, but organizes the data into logical views that are much easier for you to sort through.
- Result views. Outputs generated by Central Reporting can be (i) displayed in a result view or (ii) printed in a report. Result views are hyperlinked reports that are accessible online by simply selecting the appropriate result view.
- Drill-through to the answers! With Central Reporting, there is no need to pull additional reports to research most reports. Simply click on the link in the field you are questioning. Central Reporting offers drill-through capability for a multitude of facts that you will report on. These drill-through links take you directly to the source of the data so that you can easily research numbers that you are questioning.
- Central Reporting allows reports to span topics! Multiple input views can be accessed to create a single result view. This feature allows you to present data from each of our product centers in a single report.
- Generation of customizable result fields. Central Reporting allows you the ability to create custom "result" fields based on formulas or functions that are applied to one or more associated input fields.
- Simplified trending. Central Reporting includes the ability to show trend data and differences between periods on a report through use of a single parameter.
- Printed reports. Central Reporting includes a set of standard reports. The Report Wizard can be used to modify these standard reports in any manner to support your unique reporting requirements. If you prefer to start from your own design, new reports can also be created with Central Reporting. Central Reporting shows WYSYWIG images of reports on your screen in HTML format. Central Reporting also allows for printing using PDF format. All of the data contained within your reports is available to you seamlessly using either CSV or XML format as well.
- XML data services. Central Reporting supports the ability for you to pull result views into a 3rd party application in seconds. With XML Data Services you can seamlessly integrate data from any result view into a spreadsheet that you create and maintain in Excel. Simply download a Microsoft Excel add-in that enables you to access a list of result views from within Excel. Data contained in the result view can then be downloaded into a preformatted spreadsheet.
- Report & display view scheduling. Central Reporting allows you to schedule the generation of reports or Result Views to be sent on a scheduled basis to an e-mail address or to 3rd party software applications. The recipient of the e-mail message can then click on embedded links in the e-mail and access the Result Views or reports.
- Refresh data. Central Reporting only loads changes in the database, making it lightning fast. Because snapshots can be taken so quickly, we have added a "refresh" button to Central Reporting that will enable you to refresh the Central Reporting database at any time during the day.
