New Velocity eBill Feature Helps Communities Go Green with Paperless Statements
Multifamily communities can now offer residents monthly statement notification via e-mail

(www.realpage.com), a leading provider of on-demand software and software-enabled services to the rental housing industry, today announced it is offering the Velocity eBill feature which provides residents a monthly rent and utility statement notification via e-mail instead of mailed paper statements. This feature is offered through Velocity, RealPage’s award-winning utility management services offering.
“The new Velocity eBill feature provides a self-provisioning option for residents to receive their convergent bill electronically through the resident portal,” said William Chaney, president of Velocity. “We’ve removed the post office from the billing process, speeding up delivery for communities and residents alike as well as eliminating paper statements. We’ve found this is a preferred amenity for residents, who want the option to view their combined rent and utility statements at any time they choose.”
Residents can sign up for the Velocity eBill on the resident portal from their own computers or in the leasing office. Once registered, residents receive an e-mail with a link to securely obtain their statements. Residents can opt to pay online as well as view past billing history and update their billing information. The Velocity eBill statements serve as a reminder to residents to review and pay their rent as well as any other balances that are due, thus helping to ensure timely payments to the property.
