Jeffrey Roper

Chief Scientist, Senior Vice President Business Intelligence

Jeffrey Roper has served as our Principal Scientist since March, 2004, and also served as our President of M/PF YieldStar from 2004 to 2007. Mr. Roper is an innovator in the application of advanced techniques in pricing and revenue management for both traditional and emerging industries. He has worked in operations research and applied sciences since 1983 when he co-developed the first commercial airline revenue management system. In 2004, Mr. Roper invented YieldStar’s Price Optimizer system, the multifamily industry's preeminent revenue management solution. Prior to joining us, Mr. Roper founded RE-Opt, a strategic consulting firm committed to introducing world class supply and demand management to commercial real estate. Prior to RE-Opt, Mr. Roper consulted with Aeronomics Incorporated and Talus Solutions, pioneers in the field of revenue optimization. Mr. Roper’s work has spanned industries and continents, including airlines, cargo, cruise lines, and rental cars across the US, Europe, and Asia. His credits include developing sophisticated pricing systems for major global enterprises, including Delta Air Lines, Scandinavian Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, SwissCargo, Holland America Cruise Lines, National Car Rental, and Europcar. Mr. Roper is now responsible for all advanced business intelligence and decision support systems at RealPage. Mr. Roper received his B.S. in business administration from the University of Oregon and pursued post graduate studies in management information systems at the University of Washington.
